WapiNow helps you discover local events and connect with people around you. This policy describes information handled by the app, WapiNow's server, and external event providers.
Information you give us
If you create an account, WapiNow's server stores account details such as your name and email address and, for password accounts, a password hash. Apple sign-in accounts may also be linked to an Apple identifier.
Depending on the features you use, account/profile information and content such as organizer events, posts, comments, event attendance, saved events, and chats may be stored on WapiNow's server. Some event and profile information is also kept locally on your device for app features.
The app also stores certain preferences, saved/attending event selections, and cached or locally created content in device storage. Device storage can be lost when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
Information the app uses with your permission
Location: when permitted, the app uses your location to search for nearby events and show your position. You can deny location permission; the app may then use a selected/default city or ask you to choose a search area.
Camera and photo library: these are accessed through app features that let you scan a connection code or choose/attach a photo.
Notifications: the app may schedule nearby-event notifications on your device. You can change app notification permissions in your device settings.
Where your information is stored
WapiNow uses a server as well as device storage. The server stores account records and data submitted to server-backed features; the app also uses device storage for preferences and cached/local app data. A device uninstall or clearing app data does not delete information held on WapiNow's server.
For event discovery, the app sends Ticketmaster's Discovery API a latitude/longitude rounded to four decimal places, together with a search radius and date window. Ticketmaster processes that request under its own privacy terms. If you open an event or ticket provider link, that provider receives your visit under its own policies.
Location use
The app requests location for location-related features and does not request background location in the current implementation.
Your choices and rights
You can change device permissions in your device settings and manage available profile/content features in the app.
Use Profile → Delete Account to request deletion of your server account. After the server confirms deletion, the app removes local records it can identify as belonging to that account. Older device-wide records without an account identifier may not be safely attributable and can require clearing app data.
For privacy questions or a request that the app does not provide, contact us at the email below.
Age
The app does not ask for age during account registration. Parents or guardians with a concern about a child's account can contact us.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. Check the date above for the current version.
